Programs & Projects
Every day, the GVR Foundation makes Green Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR) and the local community better in tangible and heartfelt ways, inspired by the mission of the Foundation to:
Enrich the lives of GVR members and community residents through programs, advocacy, and financial support that promote health and wellness in Green Valley, Arizona.
Member Assistance Program
Since 1995, more than 800 Member Assistance Program (MAP) grants were awarded to GVR members. MAP recipients are individuals living on limited financial resources. GVR Foundation assumed responsibility for raising necessary funds for MAP in 2015 to help alleviate financial stress of GVR members in need. Thanks to individual donations and a grant from The Country Fair White Elephant, MAP provided $19,967 to assist 45 members in paying annual dues in 2019. We continue to fundraise for the MAP Endowment.
